My thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

** Original….when I was going in blind without subs.**

Oh hey look!! its Tachibana!!!! from the first movie
I like him
Okay, well… in this movie i had no idea what was going on, the language barrier was too high 😦
but i did like it!!
If i knew what was happening…

Just a quick general complaint…. This movie has been out for 2 years (give/take a few)…WHERE ARE THE SUBS?!?!
Now, dont get me wrong, i love everyone who subs a movie, and i appreciate that it takes a while, and they have to be somewhat accurate…but people, come on!
Junjou – Pure Heart was released the same year and that got given subs straight away, Why??! 😦

Okay, rant over, let’s continue….

Only criticism that i have is that i found the ‘sex’ scene to be very similar to Ai No Kotodama..the style was definitely the same
Only…I thought Ai No Kotodama’s scene was so much better, I dont know, i just found Tachibana and Shinya’s chemistry to be better, the scene was more sensual. It just felt way to repetitive, instead of trying to recreate the same effect, they should have attempted to film it differently.
The ending was super sweet though!!! When they were taking a photo, and then when they ‘held hands’ on the suitcase thing…so cute 🙂

On a superficial note: There is something about Kawai Ryunosuke that I dislike….he tends to stare at lot in some scenes, or doesn’t blink that often, pehaps that’s it?
But he’s so attractive in other movies…..!! Uh i dont know

On a superficial positive note, Makoto Uenobori is really cute

And they are both really good actors!
And despite the sex scene being a little disappointing, I really did like it

I rate:
6/10
Just wish i knew what they were saying…my Japanese is not that good!!!

UPDATE!

FULL INTENSE Plot Description!!!

Hirofumi has moved into his new apartment in the big city, he’d only just moved all his stuff into his place when he received a phone call from his boss asking him to come in for a meeting, poor guy!

One of his colleagues asks him to print something for him, but his computer freaks out, suddenly Shiji takes control of his mouse and fixes the problem.
Shiji is leading the meeting, and Hirofumi is totally checking him out.

Hirofumi is working late then TACHIBANA shows up! He’s the Classroom’s Lecturer!
They start chatting and Tachibana says that he’s moving in with his room-mate….YEAH HE IS!!

Hirofumi is taking the lift when Shiji causally waltzes in,  Hirofumi thanks him for yesterday and stares at his hands and imagines them running down his body…ohh
Shiji acts like a total dick and pretty much tells Hirofumi that he’s  “extra baggage” and is “draining the company” …little bit rude

Hirofumi has been studying like a beast, in the bath, on the train, after work, everything! He’s so hard working!

One of Hirofumi’s old friends invites him out and they go drinking and for some food.
Hirofumi opens up to her about how this guy is being an ass and looking own on him and being a total dick.
She asks him about the Matryoshka doll, it seems he’s forgotten it….she tells him that she needs it back for…something to be complete.

The next day Hirofumi is finding out what a Matryoshka doll is, it seems he’s remembering, he reads the information out loud as Shiji is walking past he hears everything and asks him if he’s going to Russia, Hirofumi freaks out and literally shouts “No!”

Hirofumi is going for some food time in the Noodle bar that Shinya works part time (If you don’t know Shinya, he’s Tachibana’s room-mate/lover in Ai no Kotodama, he’s hot…) but Shinya isnt working today.
Hirofumi sees Shiji and practically stares at him  until he notices spits out his noodles…ew! Hirofumi gives him is handkerchief and helps him, they end up eating together.
They start taking IT, Hirofumi says that he cant install some software, Shiji calls him useless and offers to help.

Back at Hirofumi’s place, he’s running around like an awkward kid apologising for his room. When he hands Shiji the software their hands touch and Hirofumi has a moment.

Shiji apologises for saying mean things!!! He’s not such a dick after all!

Shiji goes out drinking and still has Hirofumi’s handkerchief he said that he’ll wash it and then give it back.

The next day, Hirofumi runs into the lift to find Shiji already there, this guy is so awkward!
Hirofumi is still in two minds about whether he likes Shiji or not(!)

Hirofumi’s friend from earlier calls telling him that she’s coming over so she can give her back her Matryoshka doll….Which he has lost.
She comes in and gives him his house warming gift, in exchange for her doll. The present is some strawberry cake which Hirofumi seems to adore… !
He attacks it like an animal while his friend eats hers like a lady…bless him.

It looks like Shiji is on his way to Hirofumi’s house, when he sees Hirofumi emerge from the house with his friend, Shiji hides under the stairs….It seems he’s getting the wrong idea…SHIJI, YOU’RE GETTING THE WRONG IDEA!!!

Ohhh something goes down in the meeting!!! Shiji is basically being an ass again and asks Hirofumi questions that he wouldn’t know to make him look foolish, after the meeting he confronts him and Shiji tells him not to compromise his work and to get his head back in gear! and then tells him not to mess around with women! CHEEK!

Hirofumi is chatting with Tachibana, by chatting I mean he’s complaining.
Tachibana is so wise, I love him. He pretty much says that Hirofumi cant distinguish between Love and Hate., and then asks him if he knows how to write ‘Jealousy’ using the kanji (Ai no Kotodama reference guys!) He then says he wonders why it uses the ‘woman’ radical, because men get jealous too… 🙂

Hirofumi pretty much confesses to us that he liked Shiji.

Hirofumi’s colleague asks him to ask Shiji to go on a ‘Goukon’ (its like a group date….thing) in hope that cute girls will show up.

During a break (or something) Hirofumi sees Shiji alone and asks him where he was, as he wasn’t working the day before, he then goes on the say that he thought that Shiji may hate him….
they have a moment
Shiji gives back the handkerchief….forcefully ahah

Sawako, Hirofumi’s friend drops by the office….she runs into Shiji. THEY KNOW EACH OTHER, OMG GUYS THEY KNOW EACH OTHER.!
Turns out Shiji is her ex-boyfriend….wow…
All three of them go out…poor Hirofumi is in the middle not really knowing what to do, they both talk about him like he’s not there!
Eventually he decides to leave.
I don’t blame him, that was a little rude…

Back at home, he kinda regrets leaving…and then fails at smoking…he nearly dies! :L
Switching back to Shiji and Sawako…its very awkward….Shiji asks her if she wants to go to a hotel, she says okay….GUYS?!? WHAT?! Ahhh good, she wasn’t being serious…!

Hirofumi is having some technical difficulties…and is completely freaking out! He ends up calling Tachibana, they talk through apparently he might have a virus or something.
– Shinya sends Tachibana a text telling him to get bagels …I love bagels-

Shiji goes to visit Hirofumi, but he sees Sawako….again…
He realises that Sawako was actually there last week! So Hirofumi isn’t actually messing with any girls!
Shiji gets a message that Hirofumi is actually working on a problem and runs away from Sawako to save him…. back at the company, he rushes in and takes over Hirofumi’s mouse…and he’s back to being a dick and tells Hirofumi to go home.
Hirofumi shouts back! WOO!
They end up working together to fix the problem.

YAY they fixed the problem!
Shiji apologises for yelling and Hirofumi tries to understand Shiji’s personality

He totally nearly kisses him and the he’s decides not to!?!?! WHO ARE YOU SHIJI?!!!
I don’t accept this!
After the project finished Shiji had no reason to come back….So he didn’t.

Awh Tachibana is being epic again

Sowaka and Shiji are out again, and are having a heart to heart.
Sowaka really loved Hirofumi!!!

Hirofumi is sat in his mess, and is unpacking…then the door bell rings, its Shiji and Sawako, a little bit drunk looking for the Matryoshka doll.
Its a pretty cute moment when they’re talking about everything Sawako has done, they the two guys start talking about each other…CUTE
The next day….they only JUST find the smallest part of the Matryoshka doll, it was causally chilling by the balcony door

Hirofumi finally gives her back the complete Motryoshka doll!
She’s grateful!

Then (this is where the subs cut out for me) I’m assuming that they have a little chat about feelings, someone confesses to the other. Hirofumi goes to kiss him and then they have the sexy times…
I’m still sticking to what I said 9 months ago! The sex scene wasn’t as great as Tachibana and Shinya’s! But feel free to disagree with me!

I now….RE-RATE THIS as
7.5/10
(disappointing sex scene brought it down… )

THANK YOU SO MUCH to the amazing Anon who subbed this movie, you have a special place in my heart! ❤

Language: Japanese
English Subs Available? – Yes

Cast:
Yuichi Nakamura -Jun Shibahara
Yuta Takahashi – Noaki Murai
Sho Kubo – Katou

Basic Plot Summary:
Jun is a fantastic swimmer, but unfortunately for him he lost against his rival Noaki at a summer college tournament. Noaki asks Jun to coach him,
Ever since then, Noaki and Jun have had a close relationship.
(Jun is called Taiikukan Baby because his father had a relationship with a former student (who he later married) an they apparently conceived Jun in the gym. Jun has the same heart disease as she had)

Its a love triangle between Jun, Noaki and Jun’s childhood friend Katou. An angsty angsty triangle

My Thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

I thought the story  was cute.
Yuichi Nakamura is so adorable (He was also in the drama Princess Princess D if anyone cares) and Yuta Takahashi is a really good actor  (He was also in Takumi-Kun 2 as Suzuki Takeshi and in Junjou Pure Heart as  Kurata Shosei, again if you care )

If you dont like swimming or are afraid of water, then maybe this movie is not for you…there isn’t a single scene where water doesn’t appear or swimming isn’t mentioned.

Also, Noaki, please stop jumping off things and expecting Jun to save you! It’s so annoying!

I don’t really have anything left to say about this film. Mm…in that case:

I rate it:
6/10

This is a very half-hearted post! Sorry about that !~

Movie Summary [Kindan No Koi]

Title: Kindan no Koi / 禁断の恋 / Forbidden love
Release Date: 2008
Language: Japanese
English Subs Available? – Yes
Cast:
Masashi Mikami – Ritsu
Ryousuke Kato  -Shou
Naoki Yukawa – Ryou

Basic Plot Summary:
Shou has given up on everything….school, family…everything. He lives in an apartment with his younger brother, Ryou, and he never leaves.
Ritsu, a young designer (who used to tutor Shou) has arrived back from studying  in New York. Shou and Ryou’s father – Ritsu’s boss said that he could stay with his sons.
Shou is cold towards Ritsu….and he doesnt know why.
As the story progresses we find out that Shou’s innocent little brother is hiding a dark secret….

My Thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

I really really enjoyed this film, but damn…it was weird!!
At first I was all like “Shou…?! Whats wrong with you? Why are you acting like this!?!! :((”
But at the end it all makes perfect sense. Our old friend “jealousy” rocks up again for this film.. *deep sigh*

So, incest…reeeeeeeally not my thing, I know it is quite a common trope in yaoi particularly between brothers (and twins oyy) but I really can’t deal with it, so in my mind these two are step brothers. I refuse to believe anything else ahaha – I don’t know if they are or they aren’t but that is the lense from which I’m viewing this relationship.

I liked Ryou at the beginning,  thought he was really sweet…. oh how wrong I was!
He seemed to be obsessed with his brother, he made Shou believe that Ritsu had slept with his father by photoshopping their heads to a photo, which devastated Shou.

When Shou and Ritsu reconcile it really hurts Ryou…and I actually feel bad for him.
I mean suuuure, Shou doesn’t know that his little brother has feelings for him, but still….there is a serious lack of consideration for other members in the household.

I hate the manager guy….whatever his name was.

How cute does Shou look when he’s wrapped in that white sheet?!?!! SO CUTE!

Okay lets talk about the ending….
LORD help us.  The awkward moment when you’re caught in bed with your male lover….eh?!

Everything would have been wonderful, but Ryou had to go and ruin it. Damn you and your jealousy!
So Shou and Ritsu were banned from seeing each other. Ritsu was fired blah blah blah.
Shou planned on leaving to go and live with Ritsu….the IDIOT told his brother.
Ryou confessed to Shou, telling him that he belongs to him….Shou was all like “Its wrong….” and ran off to see Ritsu.
Shou runs into a really pissed off Ryou….who hits him over the head with a vase, killing him (and me…emotionally)
Then we see Ritsu looking so happy about the shirt he completed from Shou, it’s like he can’t wait to see Shou’s reaction when he gives it to him…excuse me while I go to the corner and cry at the sadness of this scene as my heart is being ripped from my chest.
While Ryou is laying next to his dead brother surrounded by white lilies…

I cry

But anyway, I rate this:
6/10

Ryou ruined it for me….bless him 😦
He should have hit the manager guy over the head with the vase….just sayin’ I would have preferred that ending! 😛

To it took me forever to find Naoki Yukawa’s name!!! It was nowhere on the Internet! I had to find his Romanised name using the kanji that was given at the end credits. But whatever, you have it now 🙂 And I feel like I’ve done my job as researcher and informer

OHHH they should totally do a prequel ! I would have loved to have seen Home Tutor/Student romance: it would have been awkward, they finally realise their love for each other  and are extremely happy together….but then Ritsu has to go away, Shou tells him that he’ll wait for him *with tears in his eyes*. They embrace not wanting to let go of each other…but they have to…
THIS LEADS US TO KINDAN NO KOI!
I just want the backstory without jealousy 😦

Movie Summary [Ai no Kotodama]

Title: Ai no Kotodama/ Words of Devotion / 愛の言霊

Language: Japanese
English Subs Availiable? – Yes

Cast:
Hidenori Tokuyama – Shinya Ootani
Yasuka Saito – Miyako Tachibana
Rinako Matsuoka – Yuki Mizusawa

Basic Plot Summary:

Shinya and Tachibana have been together…for…well, forever (since high school anyway). They’re now in University and living together, everything is fantastic…until an old class mate appears on the scene…Yuki Mizusawa.
She seems to like Tachibana…causing Shinya to get jealous.
Another story with jealous as the centre of the story….what will happen to Shinya/Tachibana?!

My Thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

I really like this movie!
I think that Hidenori Tokuyama and Yasuka Saito have fantastic chemistry on screen.
Although as i’ve previously mentioned in another movie summary: i hate it when girls get involved and ruin a perfectly good relationship!
To be fair…without that storyline there wouldn’t be much to the movie….lol
I love how Shinya kinda….drived Tachibana away because he’s so jealous. But in the end all is good!
The sex scene was soooo good
(Speaking genuinely here! Not like some creepy crazy person that I usually am…)
It wasn’t….graphic, it was very sensual and filled with so much emotion….I loved it.

**The song that was played during the FANTASTIC sex scene was by Tokuyama Hidenori!! (A man of many talents!) The download link will be put at the bottom**What did we learn while watching this movie?!

How to write ‘Jealousy’ in Japanese
Yasuka Saito looks amazingly cute in this movie!
When I saw him in this….it didnt register that he was in the Takumi-Kun series…until i watched it again….wow, i’m so slow :L
And i’m totally in love with him… Hidenori Tokuyama is just fabulous :)Anyway..

I rate this movie:
8/10

F.A.Q
What does ai no kotodama mean?!!!~!~!?!~
well…Ai no Kotodama =  愛の言霊
愛 (ai) means love
言霊(Kotodama) can’t really be translated but refers to the ‘power of language/words’  言 refers to language or word and 霊 is spirit or soul…
because Kotodama doesnt have a single word translation, I cant really make it make sense but..I think Ai no Kotodama pretty much means the power(or spirt) of the word love, but don’t hold me to that, it’s better if we ask a native Japanese person..

Cast:
Kyousuke Hamao – Takumi Hayama
Daisuke Watanabe – Giichi Saki
Yukihiro Takigushi – Shouzou Akaike
Yasuka Saitou – Masataka Nozawa
Ryoma Baba -Misu Arata.

Basic Plot Summary:
Soooo Takumi and Gii havent seen each other in a while and Takumi is sooo excited to see him ..
But…things in Boys Love movies are never simple
Gii is totally different. He acts cold towards people and keeps away from Takumi.
Takumi is completely shocked and confused as to why Gii is acting this way…because of this change in Gii, Takumi’s phobia returns….What is going on?! Why is Gii being such an ass?!

My thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS AND FANGIRLING

Well…this story is weird…
GII Y U ACT SO MEAN TO TAKUMI?!
The whole time I was watching this I had mixed emotions, here is the range of thoughts that when through my head:
Oh… Gii?! What are you doing?!
Takumi??? just….embrace Gii he’ll be fine with it
GII?!!?!?! YOU HEARTLESS BASTARD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
For the love of God please tell me what’s happening!!!!! Oh and tell Takumi too, he seems to be freaking out….
KJGHLSKJHFLAKSJHALKJHDAJKLHA
Oh shit….the phobia is back  I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY GII!!!
Ohhhhh now you tell me…
Maybe Gii isn’t so mean after all….?!?!!
RUN GII RUN!!!!
Ohhhhhh yeah 🙂
Ahhh the ending is so perfect! Believe me when I say that this film takes you on an emotional rollercoaster!
But lets start from the begining….
I loved how happy Takumi was when he got that phone call from Gii
I really liked how we (as the audience) were kept in the dark about everything so we could really feel how Takumi was feeling. Effective! Frustrating, but effective!
Shingyouji isnt the same guy as he was in ‘Pure’ and ‘Ano hareta aozora’ I also feel like his personality is different….a little bit of an inconsistency….I prefer the Shingyouji in Pure,  buuut whatever…
Also, I’m oddly attracted to Arata-san (I love how Shingyoji always says “Arata-san!!!” and also in the 4th one) I couldnt read the subtitles at one point because was too busy looking at his face…uh life is hard sometimes
I loved it when Takumi was like “Man, you’re making me nervous! tell me!” Like, same bro.
Gii you piss me off sometimes….you really do. If someone you liked said to you “we should stop seeing each other for a while” You’re gonna get a little bit upset….any normal person would…Gii…Why don’t you get that!? You’re clearly not stupid but WHY DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND THE EFFECTS IT HAS ON PEOPLE?? Especially Takumi who is a little unstable anyway!
Uhh…
Ahhaha Arata-san “I couldnt care less about your reputation” and “I really do hate you”…God I love this guy
And the end!!!!! OMG THE END!
Watch the end!! If you see nothing else of this movie….WATCH THE END!!!
It was a good movie
But for the frustrating factor I’m only going to give it a….. *drum roll*
6/10

ARATA-SAN 10/10

Movie Summary [Niji iro no Garasu]

Title: Niji iro no Garasu / 虹色の硝子 / Rainbow Coloured Glass
Release Date: 2009
Language: Japanese
English Subs? – Yes

Cast:
Kyousuke Hamao – Takumi
Daisuke Watanabe – Gii
Yukihiro Takiguchi – Akaike Shouzo
Yuta Takahashi – Suzuki Takeshi
Yuki Hiyori – Morita Toru
Kei Hosogai – Takabayashi Izumi

What to expect:Really soft BL (and by that I mean kissing and some shirtless-ness) , relatively sad story line, super adorable characters with super cute faces you just want to smoosh.

Basic Plot Summary:
This is the 2nd movie in the Takumi-kun Series!
Gii goes off to America and leaves Takumi alone for a bit.
On his return he greets Takumi with a huge kiss in front of all their classmates – which totally causes a ruckus and embarrasses Takumi. Takumi tries to talk to Gii about it but Gii dismisses him. He asks Takumi to invite the first year Morita Touru to their Halloween party. Going by how Gii has been behaving around him and how he insists Morita be at the party, Takumi gets jealous thinking that Gii prefers Morita..

My thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

I do love to Takumi-kun series, so watching these films again is no chore to me!

If you guys read the original post that was uploaded in March 2012 then you would have seen that my main criticism was regarding Takumi.
I would like to take back everything bad I said about him and put all of that onto Gii. In the original post I said that what really annoyed me was Takumi getting jealous of Morita, but now I’m more annoyed that Gii was the one making him feel jealous!

The storyline, or what I feel was the main storyline, didn’t come into light until the film was nearly over. It’s revealed what Gii’s intentions with the Halloween party were and his reasons behind it. Now as sweet as they were, it doesn’t make up for the fact that he was intentionally hiding things from Takumi which caused Takumi to feel really sad and jealous!

As you may have noticed the actors are different. Both Takumi and Gii are played by different actors. Now although I really liked the old Takumi and Gii, I liked Kyousuke Hamao and Daisuke Watanabe more. As the film series progress they have so much more chemistry, its really nice to see them develop together. But I’ll save that for another time.

Suzuki and Morita’s story was so bitter-sweet. They didn’t have the time to get to know each other properly before Suzuki was cruelly snatched away by the jaws of death (little dramatic but hey, this film was dramatic!).
The ending was really lovely, heartbreaking, but lovely! Morita was unable to go into Suzuki’s hospital room but he made sure that Suzuki saw a rainbow before he died. So lovely *wipes single tear*

Last time I rated this film a 6 out of 10
and I’m going to stick with my original rating. Although I liked it better than the first Takumi-kun film, I have a strict rating system and a 7 means a lot to me so….shh~~

So that’s a
6/10

Cast:
Tomo Yanagistita – Takumi
Keisuke Kato – Gii

Yasuka Saito – Izumi Takabayashi.
Wataru Hatano – Michio Yoshizawa

Basic Plot Summary:
Takumi Hayama starts his 2nd year in an all-boys boarding school. His new room mate Giichi Saki (aka Gii), an incredibly smart and attractive guy who was raised in America and happens to be super popular, tells Takumi that he is in love with him.

However, Takumi has a phobia of close contact due to a childhood experience involving his brother. Gii, being the chivalrous man that he is, tries to help him overcome it.

Gii’s interest in Takumi has created a few problems for him, as Izumi Takabayashi becomes jealous of Takumi, saying it should be him- not Takumi that Gii should love.
After Izumi’s little fan club lock Takumi (and Gii) in the music room, Gii stresses to Izumi that it is Takumi who he loves.

Nozaki, has also taken an interest in Takumi…but for the wrong reasons, Gii tries to protect Takumi so Nozaki challenges him to an endurance test competing for our little…they compete for Takumi…who will win…?!

What to expect
A little violence, mostly involving throwing curry,  a non graphic sex scene, themes of incest and super cute guys.

My thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

I’ve seen this film many many times, in fact I’ve seen the entire series many times I’m surprised I can’t quote it word for word haha

But if I’m being honest, this film is my least favourite Takumi-kun film. I can’t really explain what it is that I didn’t like about it, but the other movies, especially PURE seemed a lot better in my opinion…oh god, I know what it is…it’s the absence of Ryoma Baba. This film needed more Baba
ahaha I’m just kidding, but if I had to rank the Takumi-kun films, this one would definitely be at the bottom.

I like how the film is so close to the manga, if you haven’t read the manga yet I really recommend you do so (the link is at the bottom). For that reason I can’t really fault the story line as it is an adaptation…but Takumi really annoys me haha YES he is adorable and YES I know he’s dealing with trauma but I got the feeling that in the manga, Takumi wasn’t as pathetic (and I hate using this word) as he’s made out to be in the live action movies. But this isn’t because of Tomo Yanagishita because Takumi is equally as pathetic in the other movies when Kyousuke Hamao plays him. Ah well, I guess that’s just who he is.

Personally, I like Nozaki. But I have a tendency to like the ‘bad’ characters. My favourite line of this entire movie has always been “If he loses, Nozaki will punch him…” no matter how many times I watch this film, that line never fails to crack me up.

This film is super light-hearted and if you’ve just started watching BL movies then I really recommend you watch this one. Don’t hit the death and destruction just yet…spare yourself.

Anyway I’m sticking with my old rating of
6/10

My Thoughts:

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

The first time I watched this film I didn’t like it, now that I’ve seen it again I can’t quite understand why that is.
Admittedly I wasn’t blown away by it the second time either, but I did enjoy it – as much as anyone could enjoy having their heart smashed with a sledge hammer but I digress.

I was only able to understand half of this film, when I got about an hour into it the subtitles decided that they didn’t want to work. You know when they say “it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”, this cannot be applied to subtitles. It’s better to have never had subtitles than to have them cruelly snatched from your arms.
But anyway…no subtitles…yeah, so I had no idea what anyone was talking about for the last half of the film (excluding the scenes where they speak English).

I really liked the concept of mortality, as good ol’ Wikipedia says this film “examines the limit of life” which is 100% accurate, this film does in fact do that. It’s also “semi autobiographical” and I personally liked how we followed Ivan from his childhood to his eventual death.

Previously I rated it  3/10 but I’m going to bump that up to a 6/10. There are so many of you out there who would watch this film and thoroughly enjoy it’s realistic yet sad scenes but for me, I need to be in the mood to watch something that could ultimately cause an emotional breakdown. Some scenes were little awkward to watch (surprisingly I’m not talking about the scenes when everyone is wandering around naked) and I had to ask myself “would people really do that?”
But anyway, 6/10

My Thoughts

SPOILERS

The original post was on the 27th February 2012. It has been over 3 years since I wrote a post summarising this film. It was the worst post in the history of crappy posts, hopefully this update will be better and more informative!

I would firstly like to address how much of a ridiculous piece of stupid trash I was. This movie is really good!

I really liked the development of the two main guys, I thought it was really interesting. As the film progresses Sam’s history is revealed and his character starts making more sense. Jet changes his personality from an arrogant narcissist to a caring and innocent guy, just shows you how much he wants to be with Sam.

There was a serious web of connections in this film…everyone was connected somehow. Here is a breakdown:
First you have Jet who works and lives with Ching. Ching used to pine after a guy he worked in an office with called Fai. Fai, was with an aspiring singer called K.S. then K.S. and Fai parted ways and Fai became a policeman now going by Sam. Jet meets Sam and falls for him. Ching is still in love with Fai (aka Sam). Jet and Sam never officially get together, and K.S. is just floating about signing autographs and having sex,(he had sex with Jet once but I can assume he’s had multiple partners…)

I stated on my personal blog (extra feelings below) that I couldn’t really remember what this film was about but ohhhh boy. I remembered this film instantly when I saw Jet having dinner with Sam’s family. I remembered the ending. THE ENDING.

This film is really good.  If you read this post in 2012 then I’m sorry and please ignore everything I wrote. I really like this film! The ending was sad but it didn’t leave me emotionally distraught (looking at you Scud).

I will rate it

7/10
Originally I rated it 3/10 because, as previously stated, I am a pile of trash who doesn’t know good films when I watch them.
