Mew had to live with his grandmother because his father had moved away, at first he was reluctant to stay…but he learns to deal with it, and he’s actually quite happy where he is.
One day in school, Mew is washing up a painting pallet in the boy toilets, when he’s attacked by some of his classmates. Tong happened to be around and saved him, getting beaten up himself.
From then on Tong and Mew became really close friends.
One day Tong’s sister Tang goes on vacation with some friends….and she never comes back. Tong’s Mother, Sunee accepts that Tang wont return…but his father, Korn hasn’t. Tong’s family decide to move away. Korn has been drinking a lot, and is getting a little depressed.
A few years later, Mew is in a band as the songwriter and singer. The band’s manager hires a young woman to help August Band, who happens to look a lot like June.
The two old friends meet again as Tong was trying to buy their sold out album. They realise how much they’ve missed each other and start seeing more of each other.

This story is about unrequited, young love, family drama and tragedy

My Thoughts:

*~WARNING!!!~*
May contain Spoilers!!!
And by ‘May’ I mean does!!!

Its a really cute story, I love Mew and Tong’s friendship/relationship.
I loved how they both realised that they cared very much for one another, and no one was disgusted or angry or whatever!! For the first time ever in a BL movie!!!
I really hate stupid mothers who ruin perfectly adorable relationships!!! Sunee you suck!! But at the end she was alright and actually really lovely.

I really like Ying as a character, i think she’s is completely insane!
She kinda reminded me of myself….maybe that’s why i like her….

I’m so glad non of the characters actually started dating her, that…was such a relief! Although Tong’s girlfriend/ex-girlfriend was little irritating.

What really sucks, is that we never find out is June is actually Tang!!!
But i think she is

OH MY GOD, I died when Tong said “I cant be with you as your boyfriend….but that doesn’t mean i don’t love you”
AND HE GIVES HIM THE NOSE TO THAT TOY THING HE GAVE MEW WHEN THEY WERE KIDS!!!!!!
Even though that was a really disappointing outcome, IT WAS SO ADORABLE!!!!!

Its a really lovely story!
But the BL-ness takes a while to get going, watch it for the film not for what you hope to happen 🙂

I rate:
7/10

Also…Thai is such an awesome language!!!
I think that Mew when he was younger was so adorable! ^~^
anyway…..

Cast:
(actor – character)
Serena Fang – Du (death girl)
Aaron Yan – Shen Qi

Ah Ben – Xiao Lun
Zhang Yong Zheng – Zhao Da Dong

Episode Summary:
each episode is around 45 minutes long.
Okay firstly…..The drama itself isnt a BL drama…but it has 2 episodes with a gay storyline (which is the ones i’m gonna be summarising!) The drama has 12 ‘real life’ stories….it talks about homosexuality,  relationships with teachers, isolation, bullying, prostitution, incest and suicide….and other lovely topic

Anyways…. detailed guide of episode 13-14.
I’m only going to talk about the Xiao Lun/Da Dong storyline….sorry Du and Shen Qi
prepare for:

ULTIMATE SPOILERS!

Episode 13 –
Xiao Lun has always been bullied by Da Dong because of his feminine personality he is an easy target. Xiao Lun is amazing at nail painting! Da Dong is like some….high school gangsta(?) and the classmates have to pay him money…because of his grandmother is poor Xiao Lun is incapable of paying Da Dong a few times. Because Xiao Lun is such an adorably nice guy he paints the girls nails for free.
Because Xiao Lun cant pay Da Dong gets him to sweep the floors, while him and he friends smoke and play cards. Xiao Lun tried to tell one of the teachers….but the teacher did nothing, what a complete ass.
Xiao Lun gets bullied again in the guys toilets….but luckily Lu Zi come in and stands up to Da Dong, what a babe. Xiao Lun becomes interested in Lu Zi….until he finds out he actually has a girlfriend.
We get an insight into Da Dong’s life….he is always in the shadow of his awesome boxer brother, and he’s under pressure from the group he is part of…Da Dong is constantly trying to prove how tough he is.
One day after getting attacked by Da Dong, Xiao Lun runs to a room..where Du appeared and did her “Do you want to be a stone?!!!” thing….because Xiao Lun is such a sweetie he doesnt want to kill Da Dong even though Da Dong is so horrible to him.
The Head Instructor finds out what happened, and talks with Da Dong and Xiao Lun. Da Dong is lying about the whole thing…the head Instructure punches Da Dong.
Head Instructor  tells Xiao Lun to punch Da Dong, and he’ll pretend he didnt see… Xiao Lun said “Wh am i the one being punished when he’s the one who did wrong?!” Head Instructor (HI) was all like “Ehh…?! How is this a punishment?!” and told him is was practicing his manliness…..Xiao Lun punched him gently….causing Da Dong to laugh…so HI beat him instead.
The whole thing turned into a lecture about how weak Xiao Lun is….totally unfair i thought.
HI said Xiao Lun could leave….and the he proceeded to beat the crap out of Da Dong…until the teacher lady saves him….she’s the only one who has some sense!
Its Hong Ge’s birthday….(he’s the guy who used to take money from Xiao Lun before he left – the leader of the gang) and they are planning something big….

Episode 14 –
Da Dong is happy because Hong Ge said he sees him as his brother….and the next day he should meet them somewhere because they are going to “have some fun”
Basicalmente….Da Dong is going to pretend to be the cable guy….and Hong Ge’s guys are going to beat the crap out of some guy. The plan goes well…until the guys leave and the man gets up….starts chasing after Da Dong…and who does Da Dong run into? Xiao Lun!
Xiao Lun fixes him up and lends him he jacket as a bit of a disguise. Da Dong find the rock in the coat pocket….He returns them both to Xiao Lun.
On the day of the school anniversary, Xiao Lun and Da Dong perform together, much to the surprise of the Head Instructor and to the delight of the teacher lady(who gets 3 bouquets of flowers…..lucky lady!) Xiao Lun hugs Da Dong….it seems the two have sorted out their differences…
at the festival, Xiao Lun is forced into going into the haunted house …thing :L
Da Dong attacks Xiao Lun…and bite his neck….soon, the neck bite turns into a kiss.
Xiao Lun says “You’re the same as me….you’re gay”
Da Dong freaks out and starts beating Xiao Lun….he says he’ll make sure he never speaks and ends up strangling him….
Du shows up and has a chat with Da Dong.
Da Dong says he’d rather be a rock than people finding out he’s gay.
Xiao Lun is rushed to the hospital.
He’s been in a coma for 2 days. Da Dong goes to visit Xiao Lun…but he only waits outside. he then goes to the roof…and sees Xiao Lun’s grandmother, the Head Instructor and The teacher lady leave, and goes back to Xiao Lun.
Du is there and he find out that Xiao Lun wont die….he just wont wake up, because of Da Dong.
Because of Du, Da Dong realises that he’s a total dumbass for bullying Xiao Lun, because he did nothing wrong….and Da Dong is the worst person EVAAAR!!!
He begs Du to bring Xiao Lun back…he is willing to turn into a rock.
Xiao Lun’s grandmother returns and sees Da Dong crying over the situation….she says she doesnt blame him.
BAM!
Xiao Lun wakes up!!!
Da Dong….Xiao Lun and Shen Qi dig a hole and bury the rock! Adios Du!
Or…..not?

My Thoughts:

I’ve seen….episodes 1-6, 13 and 14.
I couldnt see the others….the player i was watching it on became unavailable 😦
I like the entire concept of the drama….a little depressing – the story lines are really realistic and…hell i just love this drama!

Also, can we just take a minute to appreciate the title
“Gloomy Salad Days”
I mean…how epic is that?!

But back to these episodes…. :
Xiao Lun is so cute
I think he’s great, if he were in my school i’d totally be friends with him, he’s so kind an loving, and it breaks my heart that Da Dong and the other guys were bullying him…well they were bullying everyone but especially Xiao Lun.
Da Dong was such ass though…less so towards the end. I mean I understand he’s going through some stuff, y’know being part of a violent, money obsessed gang and trying to live up to his super strong brother and projecting his anger through bullying…but NO  that is no excuse to act like a dick. But I liked him at the end when he was so upset about Xiao Lun he was sobbing at his bedside *sniff*

I liked how it subtly went from VAMPIRE NECK BITING!!! to casual make out time…loved it!
It could have been an amazing BL scene…..until Xiao Lun said “You’re the same as me” kinda….killed the moment. Da Dong – little bit of an overreaction I feel…
In my head I had an alternate ending where Xiao Lun and Da Dong actually got it on, it would have been full of BL goodness and no one would be put in a coma…Ah that would have been nice *fantasises*

But anyway, I liked it! I actually really like the concept of the whole drama, i just wish I could have seen more episodes
annnnd…I’m totally in love with Aaron Yan so….perhaps a little bit biased 😀

I rate 8/10

OST?

Movie Summary [Junjou – Pure Heart – ]

Title: Junjou ~ Pure Heart ~ / 純情
Release Date: 2010
Language: Japanese
Enligsh Subs? – Oh Yes!

Cast:(actor – character)
Rakuto Tochihara – Keisuke Tozaki
Yuta Takahashi – Shousei Kurata
Mitsuyoshi Shinoda – Miyata Kazuomi

Basic Plot Summary:
Keisuke Tozaki is a freelance writer who, by total chance meets his high school crush, Shousei Kurata.
After the two go out drinking, they end up in bed together…. is this just a one time thing? Or could it be more?

My Thoughts:

*~WARNING!!!~*
May contain Spoilers!!!
And by ‘May’ I mean does!!!

OMMMGGGG!i’ve been waiting forever to do this one! I totally love this movie!
Okay, I am a little bit biased….why?? Because I am completely in love with Rakuto Tochihara, ever since I saw him in RH Plus and One Missed Call 3…I’ve been a Tochihara Fangirl. It’s shameful, I know. But have you seen that man?! Ah he’s wonderful.

So you have been warned this part might not be 100% unbiased.

They are both really good actors! Really very talented. However, I think that they weren’t able to show off their talents in this film, which was a shame really. I hate to compare films, but I have seen a lot of BL films and to me the interactions between the two guys felt a little awkward. I did find the kiss between them – when Kurata invites himself to Tozaki’s place….well…it wasn’t the best kiss I’ve seen
…I think more practice is needed /winks/

Usually I really don’t like the guy/girl who gets in between the perfect couple, but i didn’t hate Kazuomi…he was pretty cool,  and you could tell that he really does care about Tozaki.
I mean, sure, I was screaming at him when he tried to kiss him but, hey, the guy likes him! And Tozaki stopped him, so….no harm done!

Speaking of Tozaki, he isn’t the usual weak uke that we see soooooo often in BL movies, I find that so refreshing! That makes me love this movie so much more!
Sure, he allows himself to get pushed around a bit by Kurata, but when he was accusing Tozaki of things he didn’t do…he totally yelled at Kurata and stormed off. I LOVED IT!!!

No one accuses Tozaki of doing things he didn’t do *sassy finger snap*

Although we do have the usual boys love element: Jealousy.
O where would we be without this fundamental element.
But all is good in the end, don’t worry!

Speaking of which, the ending was so lovely. The role reversal: with Kurata waiting for Tozaki….that was pure perfection!

Another thing….That little happy giggle Tozaki did when Kurata sent him that text WAS FREAKING ADORABLE!!! And the love bite thing… Oh god I was fighting off a nosebleed.

Okay, I think I’m done with pointing out the good parts. But I really loved this film!!!
Ah….i just….i cant say anything else ❤

I rate this movie

10/10

why?
Because it’s super cute and its actually nearly 85% accurate to the manga – usually when there is a film remake of a manga they either change it completely or cut out the important parts…yeah yeah I know some parts are different but the original storyline is there!

[Oh and i love Rakuto Tochihara.]

If you haven’t seen this movie yet…What are you waiting for?! GO! WATCH IT NOW!
And leave a comment telling me (and everyone else) what you thought!

Read the Manga!!

Movie Summary [Ano, Hareta Aozora]

*update: 8th July 2012* *Original post: 10th April 2012* This post turns into a whole thing….beware(!)
Title: Takumi-kun 5 Ano, Hareta Aozora / あの、晴れた青空/ Sunny Blue Sky
Release Date: 2011
Language: Japanese

English Subs? – YES!

Cast:(actor – character)
Kyosuke Hamao – Takumi
Daisuke Watanabe – Gii
Ryoma Baba -Misu Arata
Naito Taiki –
Shingyouji Kanemitsu

Yukihiro Takiguchi – Akaike Shozo
Shota Takasaki – Reiji Minoiwa

Basic Plot Summary:
The 5th instalment in the Takumi-kun Series and it picks up from where the 3rd movie left off
Okay, so from what I could gather about this movie…the basic plot line is:

Takumi was going to visit his brother’s grave and Gii promised to go with him. HOWEVER…there was a snooker competition on the same day as when their visit.
Which creates some tension in the relationship (…obviously!) Takumi feels betrayed by Gii…how is their relationship going to work out?

My Thoughts:

*~WARNING!!!~*
May contain Spoilers!!!

And by ‘May’ I mean does!!!

*Original before Update*
So….once again, no subtitles. Uh!!!
the only parts i did understand was when Takumi was in his room and the announcer…guy was all like “Oi…Takumi…phone call” and it was his mum on the phone
Oh and when Gii asked Takumi if he wanted a coffee….
Oh and when Takumi told Gii to go away….
OH! and when Takumi was like “but…” and Arata-san was like “….but?”
lol only 4 unimportant things in the whole movie.

Takumi seems to like hanging out in the greenhouses?!
also…GII?!?!?! Since when he so blonde?!!?! Okay…its not Blonde..!  I noticed that in each movie he’s been getting a little lighter…but this…..this is less subtle that the other movies…!

The sex scene between Gii and Takumi went from incredibly sexy to incredibly sweet…How did they do that?!?! ahaha 😀

Arata-san looking fierce as usual. Nothing more needs to be said about him and his fabulous cheekbones

I dont think we’ve ever heard Takumi yell at Gii….Until now o.O He must have been so angry!!!
Soooo they are playing Snooker….Takumi is waiting at the station for the train – he has flashbacks of him and Gii together. Gii is playing against Arata-san ^o^ I think Arata-san wins….he looks at Gii and then Gii runs off
(and then Shingyouji says “Arata-san” <3)
Takumi is still waiting for a train…Gii is running as fast as he can. I swear all this guy does is run -.-” ahaha
Its a close call but….OF COURSE Gii makes it in time!!! Its Gii
He just grabs Takumi and gets on the train with him….Gii you are so casual
So they visit the grave of Takumi’s brother together….lay some flowers and pray, its cute!
And then they walk off together…

Sooo…besides the fact that i have no idea whatsoever, what is going on in this movie….I like it

I love the fact that Takumi gets pissed off at Gii…because in the past (especially in the 2nd and 3rd ones) Takumi never confronted Gii about anything… and for me that made him a weak character (I love him and all but….just being honest!) so i’m super happy that Takumi yelled at Gii

I have reason to believe that this is the final movie is the Takumi-Kun series… at least for Kyosuke Hamao and Daisuke Watanabe….thats what i read somewhere anyways :\

I rate:

8/10 !

Okay!! I have found english subtitles!!!! *HALLELUJAH!!*
Now, for a proper and correct summary ;D

And by summary, I meant ULITMATE SPOILERS BECAUSE I’M GOING TO DESCRIBE EVERYTHIIIING!!
*I’m not even sorry!*

Takumi and Gii must keep their relationship secret, as Gii has a lot of followers and he doesn’t want them to get jealous of Takumi and hate him and all that. That’s kinda sweet..

Takumi is still staying with Arata-san. Shingyouji is in their room while Arata-san is out. Apparently Arata-san hasnt been paying him much attention, because it’s Arata-san…He does what he wants!
Takumi also denies the fact that him and Gii are going out, but Shingyouji says that he knows Takumi loves Gii, so going out isn’t that important, aw Shingyouji!

Phone call from Takumi’s mum!! *i was correct guys….i’m a genius, definitely fluent in Japanese* she checks up on him asking him how his studying is going, but Takumi knows the real reason for the phone call….on 15th June is the anniversary of his brothers death.
Last year Takumi went to visit his brother with Gii, because Gii was there he could go and visit….Takumi cant go without Gii..TAKUMI NEEDS GII!!!

Takumi has arranged with Akaike-kun to get Gii to meet him in the Greenhouses, because its hard to get hold of him. There is a Snooker Tournament to welcome the new students….or something :L
The tournament will start on June 15th….

Takumi is waiting in the Greenhouses, and Shingyouji runs in saying Arata-san screwed him over…something about not being lovers and not dating….and comics aswell…oh and apparently Shingyouji is keeping a stray cat and Arata-san is NOT allowed to find out.
Arata-san hates animals.

Gii arrives!! looking really blonde
Takumi runs at him and hugs him  *I died!!!!!*
Gii apologises for making him wait and then kisses him!!! (ah this is so much better now that i understand whats going on!)
Someone walks in(its a teacher guy)….Gii runs out. The teacher guy is looking after Shingyouji’s cat. Takumi explains that Arata-san might come looking for the cat o.O The teacher says its okay, the cat will be fine.
Jeeez everyone is making Arata-san seem like such an ass!!! I guess…he is. But shut up!!! I like him! 😀

Takumi’s mum wrote him a letter, a year ago she wrote him the same one, but at that time he resented his family, and he explains about his ‘human contact phobia’, a barricade to protect himself from getting hurt….and was broken down by Gii ❤

When Takumi comes back to the room Arata-san welcomes him.
They talk about Shingyouji, and how Arata-san is being such a tit….and how Takumi is avoiding answering the question, Takumi says that he is the only one Shingyouji can talk to about Arata-san.
I think I should be the one people should talk to about Arata-san…
Takumi goes to visit Gii….He tries to knock, but then he gets cold feet. Some guy tells him that Gii is in there as Takumi tries to leave….the guy knocks for him. Gii tells Takumi to stop flirting with first years :L

GII ASKS TAKUMI IF HE WANTS COFFEE!!!! *guys i was correct again!!!!!*

Gii says he regrets kissing Takumi in the greenhouses, because now he has no self control….ohhoh ;D
“maybe we should do it here” L;JFHAKLJFKJSAHDKJAHA!~!~!~!
He locks the door and turns off the lights and then looks at Takumi with a sexy smouldering look and asks him which is better the sofa or the bed….I DONT CARE! JUST GET ON WITH IT!!!
they listen to my personal fangirl thoughts and….got on with it ;D
Btw guys…they chose the bed ;D

Takumi tries to leave after realising what the time was, but Gii is all like “NEVERRRRR!!!!!” and grabs him and hold him in his arms.
He asks Takumi who the phone call was from…Takumi tells him.
Takumi says in the greenhouses he wanted to talk to him about it.
Gii remembers the anniversary of Takumi’s brothers death, and asks him if he can go with him.
Takumi says he meant to invite him…that he wanted him to come with him, but when he’s with Gii he kinda…stops thinking

Why was Student Affairs Section in English?! :L The students are Japanese….surely…it should be in japane-…okay never mind.

Takumi finds out that Gii is going to play in the tournament….THE SAME DAY HE PROMISED TO GO WITH TAKUMI TO VISIT HIS BROTHER’S GRAVE! GII?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Takumi appears to be completely devastated.

Gii visits Takumi….but he’s not interested
(Perverted thought alert : Arata-san’s ass in those white trousers…dayumm!!~)Gii tries to explain, but Takumi does want to hear it. Ohh he’s so cold.
He tells Gii to go away *everyone that’s 3 correct out of 4!!!! I’m doing well!! *
Gii says he’s sorry 😦
GUYS! MAKE UP ALREADY!!! (even though i know they do….having already seen it without the subs ahahha)

Gii is SUPER UPSET
Poor guy is really pissed off at himself and just falls to the ground and sits at his door.

Can i just say that i’m really quite jealous that Takumi gets to share a room with Arata-san.. I don’t think Takumi really appreciates what a wonderful situation he is in! Ahh what I wouldn’t do to share a room with that man…

Takumi says *well….thinks* that the grave visit meant way more to him that Gii thought.

Arata-san goes to the Student Affairs section and sees that Takumi will be visiting his brother’s grave on the 15th…Arata-san, using his power

HOLY CRAP! THE RAIN STOPPED!
On this day….of all days.

Alrighty…so it’s June 15th, the day of the tournament…Gii’s opponant is ARATA-SAAAAN!!!
And so…..It beings…

All while Takumi is waiting for the train.

ARATA-SAN I LOVE YOU!!! He found out that Gii hasnt withdrawn his request to leave the grounds…and so he will play Gii…so Gii can play without the guilt and then go meet Takumi..
Takumi says “but….” Arata-san says “….but?” ***GUYS 4 OUT OF 4 CORRECT!!;D***
Takumi says he can get the later train at 11.30…enough time for Gii to play and meet him,

Okay while we’re here, a bit of personal trivia….I really dont like snooker :L I find it really…boring! My family used to watch it on tv all the time…

The 10.40 train arrives and leaves again, Takumi is still waiting, Gii and Arata-san are still playing. OH GOD!
The 11.05 train arrives and leaves….Still playing….
Arata-san wins!!!

やった!!!!
Arata-san nods at Gii who then runs away like a mad criminal escaping from a detention facility :L
Arata-san is lovely! SEE I TOLD YOU ALL!!!

The 11.30 train appears…..FOR GODSAKE GII HURRY UP!!!!!
Oh….there he is.
He made it!! They get on the train together.
Why the hell is this guy not dying right now?!! He sprinted for ages and he’s not sweaty and disgusting?! WHAT IS THIS?!
I go for a light jog for 1 hour and i come back, struggling to breathe, my face is red like a tomato and I’m feeling like there is no way I can’t live another second. UNFAIR!

Naoto Hayama is Takumi’s brother, apaprently his parents adored him, and they didnt really notice Takumi. when Takumi was in elementary school and his brother was in junior high, he started abusing him. Takumi didnt fight back because, because of his brother his parents noticed him more, he brother took advantage of that 😦
Takumi says how his mother had left to go shopping, and his brother dragged him to bed, his mother returned because she forgot her wallet…she saw :\ his parents blamed him, but once they found out the truth and sent his brother to hospital, Takumi had already stopped caring. He asked Gii if he hated him now, knowing what happened.
Gii said that he loved him ❤

As we found out in the 3rd movie, Takumi’s brother had died trying to find him, to apologise, and so Takumi had lost his bitterness to him.

Takumi lays flowers down on the grave, and him and Gii pray.
When leaving the grave Gii takes Takumi’s hand as says they should visit there again next year, and ,maybe with his family too….but expecially with him.
And then they walk off together ❤

Well….I’m pretty happy that my original summary was mostly accurate!
I stand by what i wrote up there 3 months ago
BUT!!
I now rate it

9/10 ;D

Basic Plot Summary:

A-Shin and A-Hong have been friends since childhood, have always been really close 🙂

Amongst them, An undercover cop , Jay, who has been charged with the responsibility to protect the competition from a wild terrorist attack by a homophobe.

My Thoughts:

CONTAINS SPOILERS

I really loved it, it’s definitely up there with Formula 17 on my list of lovely BL films.
The chemistry between Tae and Cheng Kang Tang is amazing!!!
Jay is amazing, I mean….woah…he is so cute in his suit.

This movie has moments of seriousness, humour, passion and romance…I really enjoyed it. I don’t think I could praise it enough!

Something else i liked: how the ‘relationship’ part of the story wasnt 100% about A-Shin and A-Hong  but there’s also Young Long and Daniel’s thing, Young Long’s relationship with his dad, A-Hong and his girlfriend..you know, things like that, which makes the movie less….two dimensional (….am I even making sense?!)

Think of this movie as a Taiwanese Gay version of Miss Congeniality…
This isn’t really a negative point but…the storyline isn’t 100% original, I’m not saying that’s a bad thing! God no! But…it would have been nice if it didn’t have such heavy undertones of Miss Congeniality (again….not a bad thing…!!)

I really recommend it! Especially if you like light-hearted movies! If you prefer something more…heart wrenching and emotionally traumatising, maybe this isn’t for you.

I’m sorry that i couldn’t find out all of the actor’s names

[Side note….Was Yu Fa Yang in Formula 17? did he play Kevin? the guy who Tien met on the internet?! If not, wowaah they look similar!! ^^]

Update: yes it was!

I rate:
9/10

Also extra love for Taiwan for pumping out such attractive men and awesome movies… Me gustaaa

Songs:
The song that A-Shin sings is called : Courage (勇气) by Michael Wong

The actual tracks heard in the movie are by a band called ‘1976’
The song Modern Youth is what A-Shin and A-Hong sing at the start…AND end!! 😀

I do love to Takumi-kun series, so watching these films again is no chore to me!

If you guys read the original post that was uploaded in March 2012 then you would have seen that my main criticism was regarding Takumi.
I would like to take back everything bad I said about him and put all of that onto Gii. In the original post I said that what really annoyed me was Takumi getting jealous of Morita, but now I’m more annoyed that Gii was the one making him feel jealous!

The storyline, or what I feel was the main storyline, didn’t come into light until the film was nearly over. It’s revealed what Gii’s intentions with the Halloween party were and his reasons behind it. Now as sweet as they were, it doesn’t make up for the fact that he was intentionally hiding things from Takumi which caused Takumi to feel really sad and jealous!

As you may have noticed the actors are different. Both Takumi and Gii are played by different actors. Now although I really liked the old Takumi and Gii, I liked Kyousuke Hamao and Daisuke Watanabe more. As the film series progress they have so much more chemistry, its really nice to see them develop together. But I’ll save that for another time.

Suzuki and Morita’s story was so bitter-sweet. They didn’t have the time to get to know each other properly before Suzuki was cruelly snatched away by the jaws of death (little dramatic but hey, this film was dramatic!).
The ending was really lovely, heartbreaking, but lovely! Morita was unable to go into Suzuki’s hospital room but he made sure that Suzuki saw a rainbow before he died. So lovely *wipes single tear*

Last time I rated this film a 6 out of 10
and I’m going to stick with my original rating. Although I liked it better than the first Takumi-kun film, I have a strict rating system and a 7 means a lot to me so….shh~~

So that’s a
6/10

My Thoughts:

SPOILERS

In the original post I spent the entire time raving about how much I this film. If you think I’m going to do that again…then you would be completely correct!

I loved everything about this film. I think what I liked so much was how realistic their relationship was; the energy between Tien and Bai was so natural and for me, they really portrayed the innocence of a first love –  although Tien wasn’t technically Bai’s “first” he was still the first guy he loved.

The way they conducted themselves around each other: not knowing what to say, awkwardly shuffling around and not knowing what to do are exactly how you would imagine an encounter to be when you meet the guy you like. Oh it was so sweet!

I swear Tong Yang and Duncan Lai are amazing actors who had such chemistry, when Tien was standing outside Bai’s door and there was the awkward moment where they avoided looking at each other and then their eyes locked and shared their first kiss…..being able to portray emotion like that, even if it is only for a few seconds, is just incredible.

Yes the two main characters were fabulous, but what about Yu, Alan and C.C!
Ah those guys were totally hilarious and I think they really made the film.

Formula 17 really is my go-to happy film. Usually I watch a BL film and think “oh yeah it was good” and never watch it again, but with this film I’ve seen is so many times I’m surprised I don’t know the dialogue off by heart!

Plus it’s really nice to watch such a upbeat BL film when there are so many depressing ones out there! (looking at you Scud)

My Rating, for this amazing movie, would have to be
9.5/10
(lost 0.5 because of those cringy moments, nothing is perfect !)

Watch Online
As of 2020 this film is still avaliable online on dailymotion – if you would like me to send you the link (if you can’t find it yourself) then please let me know!

Soundtrack:
It took me a long time to find these songs, since I couldn’t read Chinese at the time (I’m still not very good ahaha!) So I would just listen and type into google what I could hear…quite often it worked! So here are the two songs I could find in pinyin.

1 – From the scene with Tien and Bai on the scooter!
Wo Xiang Ni De Kuai Le Shi Ying Wei Wo – Rock Bang
2- From Tien and Bai’s sex scene
Ni Shen Bian – Stanley Huang
